Popular, immersive museum known for its colorful, futuristic digital art installations & photo ops.
When we arrived at ~1pm we walked directly in, but when we left at ~3pm there was definitely a line waiting to get in.The artwork was alive and will travel the walls. Even by just standing in one location, you can stay entertained for a good while. There are also many individual rooms/art exhibits to explore. (Worth going in multiple times because the colors/patterns/designs will change.) If you are bad at finding the rooms, maybe it will help to wait until the place is more crowded and just look for corners or holes-in-the-wall with lines 😆The tea house is also a must-go. The tea itself isn't worth writing home about, but the atmosphere and special effects associated with the tea and ice cream made it worth every yen. (Recommend getting the ice cream + tea set as the special effects are different.)

Incredibly worth it. Absolutely enjoyed the variety of the art installations on offer. You can spend loads of time just sitting and immersing yourself in the ever changing surroundings. Book your tickets in advance. Locker rooms are available to leave your belongings so you have your hands free to take a ton of pictures. The location is a mere 5 mins walk from the closest station. Highly recommended and not to be missed!

In case you show up just shortly before your scheduled time, do note it might take another 5-10 mins to get to the entrance in the basement. Also, the Google maps pin 📍 seems to be wrong and one entrance that’s closest to the pin is a little in from the street. I attempted to edit the map with a (very poorly drawn) blue arrow (attached). After entering though, I definitely didn’t regret it. It was the most unique digital art show I’ve ever experienced. I’m going to write more, but I waited in line for what I thought was another room, but was sent to a room that made me feel like a preschooler again. They literally gave us a piece of paper to sketch a sea creature. After reading the instructions, I realized it was a way to make more money (most likely). 😝

Magnificent digital art space. I spent over 3 hours there, and I highly recommend booking your ticket in advance. One of the most memorable experiences is the opportunity to draw with Crayola. For me, it was a return to childhood, as I hadn’t drawn in X years. 🤔I felt immense joy seeing my drawing come to life on the walls, moving among other creations. 😅Finally, the entrance ticket includes access to a Tea House where you can enjoy matcha tea and ice cream. When the bowls are placed on the table, light animations are triggered, creating a unique visual experience.

This was amazing! I was hesitant to go but once I went in I didn’t want to leave, this has definitely been one of the most incredible museums I’ve been to in my life. It was so much fun. I was mesmerized, the artwork is fantastic and extremely creative. It’s great for children and adults. I would be careful if you’re older or have trouble walking because the floor is not always flat and there are mirrors on the floor and a lot of places are confusing and it feels like a maze. They have benches near the restroom and water in a vending machine. They said we could only stay for about an hour and a half. If you wear a skirt or dress make sure to wear shorts underneath because there are mirrored floors and everyone will be able to see underneath. I think pictures look better if you bring a white outfit or at least solid colors and no patterns or graphics. You can’t use flash because it can ruin the artwork. They have free lockers to put your things before you go in so you can enjoy the museum more and take better pictures. It is very popular so I recommend getting your tickets much in advance. It’s worth it, you have to come.

I have been to other team lab planets, but I still found the art exhibition amazing. One of the exhibition is called infinite universe or infinite space, art shows in the form of lights and music, and I found the exhibition enchanting. In one scene I felt like entering the black hole, in another scene I felt like entering the hell or being swallowed, in one scene I felt like encountering the spirits and in one scene I felt like walking on a rainbow. I stayed and enjoyed the whole show for nearly 15 to 20 minutes. Other exhibitions were fascinating as well, and I spent at least 1 and a half hour walking around and immersing myself completely in the art. It was a bit less fortunate that I could not enjoy the tea inside as there were so many people queueing. I would definitely recommend this digital art exhibition to all, and please remember to reserve the ticket early. I booked mind through klook and chose an early admission at 0930, which was a definite plus point to avoid the crowd.

A very interesting museum! Great digital animations and art exhibitions, which are presented in harmony with music and scent.Definitely book tickets in advance as they are usually sold out! However, I have to deduct 2 stars because we had problems booking tickets via the official website for several days. Payment by credit card never worked, and when it did work after several days, we were given the wrong date. We then went to the ticket office to explain the problem and the staff there referred us to online support. This makes me wonder why they are there. The whole thing cost us a lot of time and nerves... It was only because we had proof that we were able to pay our visit on the desired date.

It is so worth the price, it was one of our best activities! There is a lot to see and several pieces are beautiful. Allow a good 2 hours to see everything. I advise you to explore well before leaving and to return to the rooms already visited several times, because the projections change. It is also difficult to find your way around the exhibition and you can easily miss a room. We almost left thinking we had seen everything and noticed a room that we had not visited. We would have missed half the exhibition if we had not noticed this room. They could certainly improve the markers or provide a map of the exhibition to visitors. My partner pointed out to me that several rooms have mirrors on the floors, which is inconvenient for women in dresses and skirts, I found this a relevant point to bring up.

Awesome. This was our favorite part of our Japan trip. Beautiful digital artwork and a fun experience. I can’t imagine the work that was put into just the spotlight show room, I could have stayed there for hours. Truly amazing. The normal walkways & projection rooms are cool, but not nearly as cool as all of the special rooms you enter.

A must do experience when in Tokyo. The whole museum keeps you enthralled for hours, we spent 3 hours there and we could have easily spent more time there. Tokyo is on steroids so we had to keep moving to the next thing in the short time we were there. Loved it and will return if we do come back to Tokyo. Just do it!!But tickets way in advance on Klook, easy process and the best way to secure your entry date and time!

I really thought it would just be projections on the wall but the other experiences pleasantly surprised me. The name Borderless really fit the rooms that we went to. It’s a lot of fun, especially for the kids but there are lots of people at any given time so you have to expect a crowd, especially in popular rooms.I would recommend that you buy the tickets online before you go so that you are guaranteed a spot. It’s really hard to explain what it was like because you have to be there in person to experience them. But I highly recommend that you check it out if you’re in Tokyo!

This is an absolute must-see for anyone who loves unique art and out-of-the-box experiences! It’s not just something you look at—it’s a full-body, immersive adventure that feels like stepping into another world. Plus, it’s the perfect spot to snap some truly one-of-a-kind photos.Pro tip: Make sure to book your tickets well in advance because they sell out fast. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this weirdly wonderful and unforgettable experience!

This place is a must to go for people who appreciate and love art and beauty. This place offers a wonderful and amazing experience. In where you explore to find different and interesting pieces. Not only that, but to also recheck old artworks since they are ever evolving and always changing. This is a must come if your ever near here I recommend bringing a good camera for night since it will be mostly dark. The only problem is that the 1 cafe is sk small and tight its hard to buy something there. But overall a must try experience with your loved ones and friends

A unique and mesmerizing experience. We are so glad we didn't miss this.We made the mistake to dedicate only 1 hour to this place. I could have spent more than 3 hours if I wanted to, since the art is not static in rooms and they keep changing. Even at the end of 1 hour, we were still discovering new rooms and art.You get lost easily and I think that's a part of it. For some parts like sketch drawing and light bulbs, you also have to line up.Also consider not wearing a skirt here, since some rooms have floor made of mirrors.

It was an amazing and difference experience that’s perfect for all ages. I booked tickets and wished I could stay more than 2 hours.I recommend booking ahead of time. They offer complimentary keyed lockers to put your things inside. A must visit if you’re looking for something different to do while in Tokyo.

I struggle to understand the high ratings for this attraction. It’s one of the priciest activities in Tokyo by a considerable margin, yet it lacks the "magical" or artistic atmosphere that I’d expected.Essentially, it’s a series of rooms with creative projector displays—that's about it. You walk through, snap a few photos, and it’s over. While it might appeal to children, I’m not sure what most adults would find engaging or worth the cost here. The photos you see online make it look much more impressive than it actually feels in person. They capture a level of atmosphere that simply isn’t there, which may be reason enough for some to visit just for the pictures. However, if you're expecting an immersive or impactful experience, you might be disappointed.I reserved tickets weeks in advance, and while there were no lines and the entry process was quick, so was my exit. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype or the high ticket price.

If you come to Tokyo and don't go to a Team Lab exhibit, you're missing out big time. It's an incredible digital art museum. There's no map of the interior but that's simply part of the appeal, wandering around aimlessly and soaking in the incredible visuals. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance to save yourself any headaches. A lot of people come by here so choose an early time slot to avoid crowds and get the photos you want to take without interference.

This was one of the top highlights of our trip to Japan. The experience is absolutely dazzling and captivating. The animations on the walls are constantly changing, so the total time you can spend here is effectively prolonged, since returning to a previous room can look completely different. My favorites were the special rooms with fixtures in them, like one with myriad tracks for glittering spheres, and another with countless similar spheres hanging from the ceiling. Music and sound effects are soothing and lyrical, and not too loud.Give yourselves about 3 hours to take in everything, and also to return to rooms to see how the animations have changed. Although you can buy tickets there, it's best to buy online so you can reserve a time slot. This teamLab is in a large posh shopping complex, so while you're waiting for your slot, there's plenty of other things to see (and eat). This is really a must-see, and is a nice counterpoint to ancient shrines and temples! Kids will love it as well.

This place is a must visit if you are in Tokyo. I know there are several different team labs, and I have only been to this one, but it was very cool. It is really borderless since the art is moving around the place through the walls. Make sure to find the room where there is a moving light installation (it is about 30 minutes long). There is also a tea room with a surprise in your tea. Even though there were a lot of people, it never felt like we were waiting in line, since there is no right or wrong way to move e around this exhibition.

An amazing experience for an interactive art exhibition. A must if your travelling or interested. Great spot to take photos. Best thing is you have unlimited time to go through the exhibitions and even return to them later if they're busy.

A must see exhibit. It is a one of a kind experience. You can spend hours in this place. The rooms incorporate lights, sounds, and smells. Some of the pieces also react to your touch. There is also a tea house in the exhibit that incorporates the light works. The tea and ice cream were both good.

My husband and I were in Tokyo a few weeks ago and had purchased tickets while we were in the US before arriving there. We had a nice time. It's basically many rooms and some hallways with a light show that has animals, flowers and all kinds of colors. The kids absolutely love it. For adults, I'd say u need about 2 hours tops, but with kids, maybe a little more. For those people who are prone to migraines, there are a couple areas where it's more of a stroking light, which can be quite a trigger for them. Anyway, I think it is worth seeing once.

Amazing place to experience modern art. Unlike some musea, this museum does not feature anything disturbing or gore, it's an amazing friendly place for everyone. We spent about 2.5 hours inside and may have missed a room (some are difficult to find due to low lighting). This place is a must-visit in my opinion ig you ever decide to visit Tokyo. Some of the rooms have such good immersions sometimes it made me feel like falling or dizzy. Some rooms have fragrances based on the type of content being shown for a superb immersion.I recommend visiting before 5PM, as our entry was 6PM and it was quite busy. I heard other guests say they beat the crowd when they were leaving as we entered.

This place is absolutely breathtaking and absolutely everyone should make a point of visiting if your travels bring you to Tokyo. I was here for three hours and I'm not entirely sure I saw the entire exhibit. The room with the cascading LED lights was my absolute favourite part. If you have sensitivity to light, have had a history of vertigo or get migraines unfortunately I would recommend not risking it as this place will absolutely stimulate one or all of them. Please be careful while wandering around the exhibit as it is a very dark environment with minimal lighting. I would advise going in the middle of the day as that is when I went and the exhibit wasn't swarmed like I have seen in some photos (I also visited during June and apparently the week I was in Tokyo was a light week according to the locals). This place is really worth the buzz around it. It is a must.

Oct 24: £48 for to adult tickets which I would say was expensive but it was a great light show. We have seen big dramatic light shows before but nothing with interactive lights which appear on the walls and floor of the main hall where most people gather. The colouring in pictures you may think are for kids but we loved it and so did many adults. I thought my Scotland 🏴 shark 🦈 stood out. Definitely recommend but it’s not cheap.

Great experience, would definitely recommend this to other travellers as a one time thing, well worth the price. They adhere to your booking and are very strict, we came an hour early thinking there would be queues but there weren’t any but they are precise on timing. You could easily spend an hour exploring the beautiful art light pieces.

This is a super perfect exhibit and you won’t be disappointed if you take the time to go. We suggest buy tickets in advance as it can be quite a lineup. Funnily enough, even though there were so many rooms to walk through, the only time we took our camera out to take photos and video was when we went to the exhibit’s tea room. We didn’t realize that it would be an exhibit unto itself, but it certainly was! We highly recommend spending 20 minutes going for tea and mochi ice cream.

This place is wild; a very disorientating exhibit by design, and I loved every minute of it. I walked through the place multiple times and each time found a different room I missed or changes in the art lighting up the walls presenting a different vibe and experience. Great ambient soundscape. Had a light show in one room and a optical illusion style area in another that made it feel like you and the ceiling were moving which were personal highlights. My only complaint is that magic mushrooms aren't legal in Japan because they would make this place an even bigger mind bend bending experience

We had an amazing time. I would say if you don't like crowds, or will be frustrated by everyone taking pictures/videos, then it might not be for you. But it is unlike any other museum experience I've had and I do highly recommend it.There's a lot to explore and you can easily spend hours here considering the rooms change/interact with each other. I easily spent 3 hours here and would've stayed longer if I didn't need to go catch a flight.Going early in the morning is best and you'll want to get your tickets in advance when possible. They have free lockers for your purse/bags, and I think an area to lock up larger luggage.

What a beautiful display of lighting. Really thoughtful clean lighting. Definitely worth visiting. This is a special place and a must see. It’s gorgeous. Make sure you buy the tickets in advance because it definitely sells out. We spent 2 1/2 hours including having the tea. It was just a 2 of us so we were able to go through quite quickly compared to a family.

You must get tickets ideally 5-7 days in advance. Don’t wait till last minute. If Klook is sold out, try their official website. Kids enjoy the wide space and the colorful and attractive installations! Staff were extremely helpful and approachable. Helped us to find a good place to lock our double stroller up. Took the time to guide us and explained how everything worked before showing us the place to join the queue. We enjoyed our time there!
