Are these water resistant or waterproof?
Our socks are water resistant, they don't absorb water and dry quickly.
We chose not to make our socks waterproof to avoid using PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which are chemicals often used in waterproofing but have been linked to various health and environmental issues. PFAS are known as “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down easily, and they can build up in our bodies over time, potentially affecting the immune system, liver, and hormone levels. Many countries and states are already moving to restrict or ban PFAS in clothing due to these risks.
