While the series was not considered a financial success and the game was not particularly highly regarded at the time, 3rd Strike is considered by many fighting game players to be the best fighting game in history. Its fast game speed, innovative parry system, and multiple super moves give players a large degree of freedom in how they approach playing the game. While the game is largely considered a masterpiece today, poor sales and dwindling interest in arcades led Capcom to abandon the Street Fighter series for almost a decade. 3rd Strike's legacy is one of the strongest in fighting game history, in no small part because it was the game featured in one of the most famous video game moments of all time: Evo Moment #37. I want to get into this game so bad, but it seems like every single combo involves timing that is not humanly possible. There is no frame data, tutorial, or even an accurate moves list in the game. Why? Do you HAVE to have a lag-less TV to even have a chance at playing this game? Are the complicated inputs easier on a fightstick? I can only use a 360 controller. I refuse to believe i am as bad as this game makes me look. Im convinced that im doing something wrong. Whats going on?
