Di Gi Charat (デ・ジ・キャラット, De Ji Kyaratto) is an anime that first aired on the Tokyo Broadcasting System on November 30, 1999. It is the first anime in the Di Gi Charat series. It is also given the subtitle Wonderful Edition (ワンダフル版, Wandafuru-ban) to give it a unique distinction.

Overview[]
Dejiko, a princess from the planet Di Gi Charat, accompanied by her younger sister Puchiko and guardian Gema land in Akihabara, where they are helped by a kind manager and decide to work for him at his store.
History[]
At Tokyo Character Show in July 1999, Broccoli announced a 16-episode anime series centered around Gamers' mascot Di Gi Charat. This was part of an advertising campaign to promote opening the new main Gamers store in Akihabara.
The anime's success spawned multiple sequels in the form of special episodes and a movie.
The series would receive a dub by Synch-Point in 2005, who also dubbed Leave it to Piyoko!, which covered all 16 episodes of the series.

Di Gi CharatVoiced by: Asami Sanada (Japanese), Jessica Gee-George (English)The crown princess of Planet Di Gi Charat who has arrived on Earth alongside Puchiko and Gema to become a famous actress. She begins working at a Gamers store in Akihabara.Petit CharatVoiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro (Japanese), Karen Strassman [Credited as Mia Bradley] (English)Dejiko's younger sister.
